Exchange and Returns Policy – for products purchased via our online store
- All products can be returned free of charge within 7 days of purchase.
- All returned products will only be accepted if:
- they are in an ‘as new’ condition
- if any hang-tags they may have, have not been removed
- if the products are still in their original packaging
- if they have not been worn for longer than mere fitting-for-size purposes
- if they have been damaged by misuse or used in any manner whatsoever

All bats sold by The Sports Shack will include a 12 month warranty.
Bats that have a manufacturer’s fault believed not to be caused by the Customer, and are unrepairable, will be exchanged, refunded or given store credit at the choice of the Customer.
Bats will not be exchanged or refunded due to the handle breaking, edge, toe or surface cracking. This is not regarded as a fault of the bat other than the fact that it is the nature of the product and it will not alter the performance or quality of the bat. In these situations the Bat will be repaired under warranty at no cost to the Customer.
The price of the bat does not indicate the longevity of the bat. It is a known fact that the most expensive bats which are made of Grade 1 willow are soft in its nature as its quality and performance is superior. These bats by their nature can develop cracks earlier than the lower grade willow bats which by their nature are more dense.
There will be no warranty on bats that break due to the use of bowling machine balls. The Sports Shack strictly recommends that bats should not be used to play against bowling machine balls.
There will be no warranty due to dampness & swelling in toe. Water & willow are not a good combination. The Sports Shack recommends the use of shoe goo or a rubber toe to help prevent damage.
The Sports Shack recommends that added protection should be used when purchasing a new bat. An extratec or fibreglass sleeve, shoe goo or rubber toe for the bat will assist in the preservation of the bat.
The Sports Shack recommends that all bats purchased must be knocked in. Lack of knocking in may result in the bat cracking earlier than a knocked in bat
- The Sports Shack will only process a return if the products returned are in accordance with the above specifications and the refund will be allocated in the same manner the transaction transpired i.e. If the items were purchased with a credit/debit card, the refund will be made to the same card which was used to make the original purchase.
- Under no circumstances will The Sports Shack refund any purchase price to a different card to that which was used for payment in the original transaction.
- Sale items cannot be refunded.

How much does it cost to return a product?
Returning products is free of charge as long as the the products returned are in
accordance with the above specifications and the return has been logged within
7 days of purchase.
When will I get my refund after I returned my order?
The Sports Shack will first process your return to ensure that it is eligible for a refund.
For purchases made by credit/debit card, a refund will reflect within 14 business days.
Customers will receive correspondence via email or WhatsApp as soon as a return has been inspected and authorised for a refund.
Refunds may take a few days to reflect after The Sports Shack has allocated the refund – depends on which bank the debit/credit card is connected
to.
Will i get refund on my shipping costs if I return my products?
The Sports Shack will not refund shipping costs, except in cases of defective products being
returned. These products will be assessed once received by head office, and if
defects are noted, the shipping costs will be included in the refund.
How many days do I have return my order?
Purchases made via The Sports Shack online shop (www.thesportsshack.co.za) can be
returned within 7 days from the date of order, there will be no charge for this
return. Anything returned after 7days will be at the customers own cost.
Product Exchange
Can I come and exchange my purchase at the physical shop?
If you purchased an item online, but it is the wrong size, then you can physically
come exchange the item for a different size within 30 days at our store. This
if free except where different sizes carry different price points.

are included in the exchange
You can also exchange an item for any other item that has the same price as the
original invoiced item. The difference will need to be paid if you choose an
item with a higher price than the item originally invoiced for.
Delivery
Delivery Options for National Online Orders
- Free delivery for orders over R2500 (2-3 working days)
- Orders under R2500 will be charged according to weight and area of delivery (2-3 working days)
- Local Pickup (1 working day) – to be collected from The Sports Shack Store
Delivery Turnaround Times:
We will always try out best to achieve the turnaround times outlined below.
Unfortunately there may be the odd occasion where circumstances out of our control may cause delays.
Main Areas:
These include: Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Durban, East London, Gqeberha, Johannesburg, Nelspruit, Polokwane and Pretoria.
Order should be received within 2-3 working days from receipt of payment.
Outlying Areas:
Please allow for 5-6 days delivery time
Confirmation email or message
As soon as your order has been dispatched from our warehouse, you will be sent an email or message to confirm that your package is on its way.
Tracking details can be provided if needed.
Tracking and delivery
To follow your order, please use the tracking ID or order number sent to you in your confirmation email.
Upon delivery of the product, before signing for the delivery, you agree to inspect the product for any faults, defects or damage.
Should you find anything, please contact sales@thesportsshack.co.za with images of the issue and a short paragraph detailing the defect.
As a precaution, please keep the receipt of the delivered product/s.
